Generator with Hydrogen Substitution
Posted By Admin | March 9th, 2010PSA have installed a hydrogen substitution system on a brand new Genforce Generator with a Volvo TAD734GE Diesel Engine that will be running 24/7. We estimate that we will achieve a fuel saving of around 10 to 12%, in addition to reducing exhaust emissions.
We estimate saving around 5 litres of fuel per hour. With an annual run time of 8,000 hours that equates to a saving of 40,000 litres of fuel per year for the cost of some distilled water.
We will confirm the estimated fuel savings after the extended run test.
