Renewable Energy

We are currently working with several companies on a variety of renewable energy generator systems, as well as some of our own renewable technologies.  Some systems are available now, and some will be released in the near future.

Gasification Systems

Gasification is an energy process producing a gas that can substitute for fossil fuels in high efficiency power generation, heat and/or CHP applications. Gasification technology consists of several unit operations, the most critical of which is gas cleaning and conditioning for use in reciprocal engines.

Biomass is considered the renewable energy source with the highest potential to contribute to the energy needs of modern society for both developed and developing economies world-wide. Energy from biomass is based on waste by-products such as wood chips, saw dust, stones from stone fruit, coconut husks and general rubbish which is currently sent to landfill. Gasification could be one of the quickest ways to help many countries in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and to reduce climate change.

Hydrogen Substitution

We are currently testing hydrogen substitution on diesel generators; this process will reduce fuel consumption by 10 to 15% and reduce exhaust emission levels. The technology is very promising, for example, on a typical 10 megawatt diesel power station, we are reducing diesel consumption by around 2.5 million litres of diesel per year.

Dual Fuel

We can supply and install dual fuel kits for diesel generators substituting up to 75% diesel with natural gas, biomass gas, coal seam gas or LPG. As well as a huge cost saving in fuel, this technology also reduces exhaust emissions.

R.O.C. (Rankin Organic Cycle)

We are currently working with a business partner on the ROC technology which will add about 10% additional power output to diesel or gas generators. Although this technology is a reasonably expensive capital investment, the running costs will be very minimal.

Working Together

We are committed to embracing, working with, and developing new environmentally-sound technologies to help reduce global warming. If your company is developing new fuel supplies that require specialised engines and generators to operate on this fuel then please contact us on 1800 453 054.

Remember: a small effort from all of us in embracing cleaner technology will make a great difference to the planet we leave for generations to come.
